The Preditors behind the Cloud

First Facebook, now Snapchat. The number of tech companies that infringe on the privacy of their customers keeps increasing and one needed to pay attention to every keystroke you make on the internet. I remember when the term ‘internet footprint conciousness’ was a thing, now with the decrease in cost of tech and the availability of smart phones, a lot of people are typing, clicking and sharing away their private lives. And oh yea, including your truly. On one hand it is brave and daring and on the other, we are gambling with our information in the hands of giants that promise us the guaranteed safety of our bets.

The way these companies assure you of the security of your data and proceed to go against everything they promised is…actually expected of any human. In fact, I won’t be surprised if any of my few and ‘trusted’ channels of communication (social media or email) decides to betray me in the future. Hell, they might even be doing so as I type!
