Isreali tech charges your battery in 30 seconds flat!

StoreDot, a startup springing from Tel Aviv University, claims to have developed a technology that charges phone battery in under 30 seconds. The company earlier last month, published a YouTube video demonstrating how the setup works. The video showed the device being tested on a dead Samsung Galaxy 4 which charged to about 100% in just 26 seconds.

The technology resulted from a research by Dr. Doron Myersdorf, StoreDot’s CEO, on developing biological semi-conductors made from naturally occurring organic compounds called peptides, or short chains of amino acids, the building blocks of proteins which will be applied as a possible cure for Alzheimer’s disease.

The company hopes to release the tech n 2016 and will cost around $30. Charges for laptop batteries will be developed as well.
